Top Grocery Pick - Kewpie Roasted Sesame Dressing

Rate this:

I started noticing the Japanese roasted sesame (Baisen Goma) salad dressing when we were eating Kani Salad in Pepper Lunch. My kids loved the salad, even though they did not really particularly liked ANY salad. I figured I needed to try this dressing back home to encourage my kids to eat more greens. I scoured the grocery and I came across Kewpie in Rustan's Shangrila.

I first tried this with some greens, kani (crabmeat), and diced mangoes. My kids finished the whole serving! I was a happy mom. The sweet sour salty taste and a hint of roasted sesame is sooo pleasing to the taste buds. Since then, Kewpie Roasted Sesame Salad Dressing has been a staple in our grocery list.

I had my chef/cook Yaya Tess try it on shredded cabbage, as dip for breaded fish fillet, and for chicken wings. Perfect! Very versatile.

Kewpie comes in a small, 5-10 servings of salad dressing, which go for about P250-P280 per 250ml, and a really large bottle, which costs around P550-P600 pesos. You can find these in most supermarkets.

Enjoy the burst of flavor and keep your food from becoming boring. What other recipes have you found to be paired well with Roasted Sesame Dressing?

Hope you like it as much as I do!
