Secret Get-away at T-House Tagaytay

Rate this:

My husband Gerard scheduled a trip to Tagaytay last Tuesday just for the two of us, without the kids.

He brought me to T-House, a Bed and Breakfast Boutique Hotel nestled on The Tagaytay Ridge, a quiet hideaway. With promise of tranquility, it is designed to let relaxation flow naturally.

When you enter the gate, the reception area welcomes you to Mother Nature.

The architecture is Zen-inspired.

The design is all about relaxation, cool fresh air.

The rooms reflect nature elements: earth, water and fire.

Nothing is forced, just a place to enjoy simple pleasures.

While your day away and curl up in this quiet corner under a tree.

Hear the sound of flowing water... yes, even from the kitchen.

Wrap yourself in the comfort of one of their rooms.

Complete with cable tv, a hot and cold shower...

and organic bath amenities.

Food is a big part in stress relief. Great food can take you miles away from your troubles. So let's start. Set dinner was included in the package and we were more than surprised and delighted with the choice of fresh flavors of their food. We were whisked away at 6pm and our hunger were eased...

The restaurant cafe serves a la carte fusion of Asian, Mediterranean and contemporary Filipino cuisine.

Welcome drinks for 2 for free, a refreshing watermelon and pineapple shake!

For appetizer: Cold seafood cocktail salad

Cheesy French onion soup, yum!

Their signature T House salad

Entree of pan-fried fillet of fish with mashed cauliflower in shrimp sauce for me,

and Wagyu beef tenderloin steak served with grilled zucchini, aubergines, capsicum, and roasted garlic in red wine reduction for my Gerard.

For dessert, caramel apple napoleon. Crusty crunch to the last bite!

Toast it with red and white wine, complimentary.

Cheers to a well-deserved break!

Part of the T-House experience was also a one hour free massage for two. We were treated to a full sensory relaxation through a blissful Thai spa treatment in a couple room. Ahhhhh... heaven!

To cap our night, some organic tea was served with cookies.

The next day we awoke to a great smelling flavor of freshly baked bread. We took our morning dose of Filipino breakfast at their cafe which is located conveniently just a few steps away from our Tranquility Garden Water 2 room.

A buffet of fresh bread.

Their very own version of freshly pulled corned beef with sweet corn...

and Tagaytay Angus tapa.

Fruits from Tagaytay's local harvest.

We had to say goodbye to this restful get-away that is Tagaytay. But not before we get our dose of the now famous local Spanish bread from Sonja's Garden.

The Panaderia of Sonja's Garden.

The Spanish bread is freshly baked. We had to rush and queu up just to get some packs. It runs out in minutes! But it is all worth it!
