Viaje del Sol: Our last stop at Patis Tito Garden Cafe, Part 7 of 7

Rate this:

After hearing mass at the San Pablo Cathedral, we quickly headed to our last stop for the two-day Viaje del Sol - Patis Tito Garden Cafe (formerly Kusina Salud). This is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Atty. Tito Tesoro and Patis Tesoro, a renowned local fashion designer known for her woven fabrics for formal Terno and Barong Tagalog wear.

Since we arrived there at the right time for lunch, we quickly settled to the confortable wooden dining chairs reserved for us. The food served to us did not disappoint as we were a hungry bunch.

Beef Salpicao with Spaghetti Pasta on the side. Tasty but with a spice!

This quickly became my favorite: Binagoongang Baboy with a zing!

Fried Vegetable Lumpia with vinegar.

Patis Tito's version of Pinakbet with bagoong.

Seafood Kare-kare, Patis Tito style - my daughter Andie's favorite! There is a generous helping of Ebi Tempura at the top.

And for some dessert, Palitao (sticky Filipino delicacy).

The interiors of the garden cafe, airy and breezy.

Several of the wooden carvings (bulol or anito) for sale inside the gallery shop. There were also local ethnic woven fabrics in colorful design, plus a host of antibacterial personal care products for the face, anti-mosquito creams, and vintage porcelains.

The gallery shop housing vintage furniture and antique collection.

I just love the vastness of the space and the interesting details.

Charming water feature in the garden.

Chat and coffee/tea time with our kind host, Patis Tesoro (right).

Thank you for the awesome birthday lunch, sister love (Joey)! With our hospitable host, Patis, ensuring we enjoyed our Sunday meal.

Our kids had a surprise treat and gift from Patis' friend: a cute mixed breed puppy we lovingly named Snow Bear! Who knew we will have a puppy at the end of the trip? What a blessing!
